• Virtual Classes are Wednesday for English and Thursdays for Spanish 6:00 PM-9:00 PM: Our CDA program is designed to be flexible and accommodating, typically spanning 13 weeks. This duration allows for an in-depth exploration of key topics while fitting into busy schedules.
• In-Person Class information will be provided on the registration form: Experience hands-on learning with our face-to-face classes held at local centers. These sessions offer direct interaction with instructors and peers, practical exercises, and immediate feedback. For those seeking a faster pace, intensive workshops are available, with classes meeting 2 consecutive Saturdays in a month. You must attend both classes to receive credit for course work.

Included in the package is a required comprehensive CPR/First Aid/AED training that equips you with essential life-saving skills to respond to emergencies. Our certified instructors will guide you through the basics of CPR for infants, children, and adults, First Aid techniques, and how to use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator). This certification is critical for anyone working with children and will give you the confidence to handle emergencies when they arise. 

Included in the package is A REQUIRED resource that provides detailed guidelines and explanations for all the CDA competencies. This book is key to understanding the 13 areas of competence and will serve as your roadmap throughout the entire certification process. It is an indispensable tool that ensures you're meeting all requirements for your CDA credential and helps you stay organized and focused as you complete your portfolio. me.

Included in the package is our portfolio assistance services are designed to support you in creating a comprehensive and professional CDA portfolio. This critical component of the CDA certification process showcases your skills, experiences, and accomplishments as an early childhood educator.

• Guided Organization: Receive step-by-step guidance on organizing and compiling the required documents and reflections, ensuring that your portfolio meets all CDA standards.
• Personalized Feedback: Get detailed feedback from experienced professionals to refine and enhance your portfolio, highlighting your strengths and addressing any gaps.
• Resource Provision: Access templates, examples, and resources to help you present your work effectively and professionally.
• Preparation for Submission: Ensure that your portfolio is complete, well-organized, and ready for submission, increasing your chances of a successful certification outcome.

Included in the package is assistance completing the T.E.A.C.H. Scholarship application. The following are the requirements for the scholarship:

CDA Assessment Fee Scholarship available for early childhood educators who:

• Are employed at least 30 hours per week at a licensed child care center or licensed or registered family child care home
• Have a high school diploma or GED
• Earn $20 or less per hour
• Are a Texas resident
• Have completed 120 hours of training for CDA
• Have completed Family Surveys
• Have identified a CDA Professional Development Specialist (PDS)

• Funds 95% of the CDA Assessment Fee ($403.75)
• $250 employment commitment stipend after the completion of an Employment Commitment Agreement

• 5% of the CDA Assessment Fee ($21.75)’
• Providing an up to 3.5% raise to the scholarship recipient upon the completion of an Employment Commitment Agreement
